Plaintiff brought this action under the Oregon Tort Claims Act1 against defendant Oregon State Highway Commission and others to recover damages for personal injuries received in a two-car collision allegedly caused by faulty electric traffic control signals.

Trial was had before a jury which returned a verdict against defendant Oregon State Highway Commission and in favor of plaintiff in the amount of $50,000....
