On the afternoon of April 29, 1971, accompanied by a reporter whom they had invited to witness a newsworthy event, the four defendants-appellants went to a building in Evanston, Illinois, housing the offices of three draft boards, opened drawers and filing cabinets there, pulled some records, and poured animal blood over them.
