On December 11, 1972, the Mayor and Council of the City of Tucson pursuant to Chapter 16, Sec. 8,1 of the Charter of the City of Tucson, redistricted the City of Tucson by duly passing and adopting Ordinance No. 3959 which set forth new ward boundaries for the six city councilmanic wards. The redistricting equalized the population on a ward basis for the forthcoming elections...
