Joseph James Bosley, the appellant, was indicted for rape, burglary, and two counts of shoplifting and attempted false pretenses. The jury found him not guilty of the rape and burglary charges and convicted him of shoplifting and attempted false pretenses from Charles Center Men's Wear, Inc., the corporate name of Hamburger's. He was sentenced to 18 months for the shoplifting...
