Plaintiffs herein are music publishing companies which on their own behalf, and on behalf of the class they purport to represent (claimed to be 3500 music publishers), seek to permanently enjoin the unauthorized manufacture and sale of recordings serving to reproduce mechanically many of their copyrighted musical compositions.
