HODGES, Justice.

Defendant Baca was found guilty by a jury of assault to commit murder. On appeal he urges reversal on several grounds, including the ground that the evidence is insufficient as a matter of law to sustain his conviction. In our view the evidence is fatally deficient. We, therefore, reverse the judgment of the trial court and direct that the defendant's motion for judgment of acquittal be granted. This disposition eliminates the necessity of any discussion...
