Luis Armando Alvarez, the defendant below, has appealed by writ of error a default judgment for divorce. His wife, Celia Jones Alvarez, sought substituted service under Rule 106, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. The petitioner contends that the trial court did not have jurisdiction over him for three reasons: (1) That he was never served with a copy of the petition; (2) because the attempted service under Rule 106 was not accomplished...
