In State of New Mexico v. Bobby Gene Garcia, Cause No. 3759, Quay County (1967), the appellant was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. Thereafter, in State of New Mexico v. Bobby Gene Garcia, Cause No. 3758, Quay County (1968), the appellant was convicted of a second murder and was eventually sentenced to life imprisonment for this crime also.
