This is a res ipsa loquitur action to recover damages for personal injuries suffered by the plaintiff, a fare-paying passenger, while alighting from a bus owned and operated by the defendant. Plaintiff received a $9,000 verdict. The trial court set aside the verdict and judgment and sustained the defendant's motion for a directed verdict.
