The defendant was tried and convicted of two counts of armed robbery. The sole issue on appeal is whether the court erred in denying the defendant's motions to sever the two separate robbery counts for trial. The defendant's claim is that by trying the two counts together the evidence was so overwhelming as to lead to his conviction by sheer weight; where if the two counts had been tried separately, there would have been insufficient evidence to convict...
