This is an appeal from a conviction for statutory rape. The punishment was assessed by the jury at fifty years.

The prosecutrix, who was fourteen years of age, was walking from a drug store to her home in Tarrant County, after school, on May 28, 1970, when appellant stopped her and asked her if she knew anyone by the name of Younger.
