Plaintiff Highway Department expropriated a strip of defendant's land approximately 116.5 feet deep fronting 140.91 feet on Louisiana Highway 1 in Alexandria pursuant to the provisions of the Quick Taking Statute, LSA-R.S. 48:441-460, and deposited $20,876.00 in the registry of the court as just compensation.
