What is here involved is the validity of a gift causa mortis, made by William H. Malloy to Sarah M. Smith and William C. Malloy, his children by an earlier marriage. Hortense A. Malloy, the widow of William H. Malloy, brought suit against the children in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County in which she sought to recover $4,900.00, the principal subject of the gift.
