On August 12, 1970, defendant was tried and convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for the county of Jackson on a charge of uttering and publishing. Specifically their finding was that the defendant did present a check with intent to injure or defraud knowing said check to be false, forged, or counterfeit; defendant appeals from this verdict.
