Appellant, as an employee of the City of Houston, came within the provisions of the Firemen's and Policemen's Civil Service Act, Vernon's Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat.Ann. art. 1269m. He was indefinitely suspended from his work with the Houston Police Department on January 10, 1972.
