Henry Paul Alvarado, who was convicted in 1962 in San Diego County of rape by force (Pen. Code, § 261, subd. 3), and kidnaping for the purpose of robbery (Pen. Code, § 209), petitions for writ of habeas corpus for the purpose of obtaining relief from the sentence on the latter charge, life imprisonment without possibility of parole.
