This is a diversity jurisdiction wrongful death action in which the plaintiff, Patricia McDaniel, received a judgment for 220,000 dollars against the defendant, United Aircraft Corporation, as damages occasioned by the loss of her husband, Simeon McDaniel, Jr. Mr. McDaniel's death occurred as a result of the crash of a helicopter he was piloting, on July 19, 1964, in the jungles of Colombia, South America...
