Although these are not companion cases in the sense that we usually employ that term, they do involve the same basic issue and question of interpretation of statutes concerning the imposition of sentences to the state prison. In substantially similar circumstances the trial courts reached conflicting conclusions, and the records of other cases already decided in the trial courts have indicated a continuing diversity of interpretation of the controlling...
