At a preliminary hearing held on September 24, 1969, a judge of the Circuit Court sustained defendant's motion to quash a search warrant and to suppress certain evidence. No appeal was taken from that order. Several days later the Cook County Grand Jury returned the instant indictment against the defendant, charging him with the unlawful possession of a narcotic drug, which was the evidence...
