Finis Sylvester Rankin was convicted by a jury of second degree murder, his punishment was fixed at life imprisonment, and sentence and judgment were rendered accordingly.

The sole point preserved for review on this direct appeal is that the court erred in overruling appellant's motion to suppress a pistol as evidence for the reason that his arrest was unlawful and the search of his automobile and seizure of the pistol violated rights...
