The defendant property owner appeals from an order which denied a traverse and motion to dismiss in a "quick take" proceeding. Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 47, pars. 2.1 to 2.10.

The property described in the petition is a 9.828 acre tract in the southwest quadrant of the intersection of Route 83 and 31st Street in Du Page County...
