Maryland Casualty Company (Maryland), one of the defendants below, became surety on a "Private Contractor's Bond." Plaintiff Permalab-Metalab Equipment Corporation (Permalab), a subcontractor, commenced an action against the contractor and Maryland for money claimed due on the job against which Maryland's bond had been written.
