The plaintiffs are husband and wife. The defendant owns an office building situated at 112 Mathewson Street in downtown Providence. The plaintiffs instituted this negligence action to recover damages sustained as the result of the wife falling down a flight of stairs located at the Mathewson Street address. Trial was held before a Superior Court jury which awarded the wife $43,300 and returned a verdict on the husband's claim for...
