Plaintiff was indicted in the United States District Court in 1963, charged with fraudulently obtaining immigration visas and conspiracy to do so. In 1968 he came to trial and was represented by defendant. In the course of the trial he pleaded guilty to conspiracy and one substantive count of the indictment.
