The Kamikawa Maru, a cargo vessel, docked in Cleveland, Ohio, to unload a portion of her cargo prior to her arrival in Detroit. The defendant Cleveland Stevedore Company (Cleveland) was employed for the stevedoring operations aboard the vessel.
