At a jury trial, defendant was convicted of assault with intent to commit murder, MCLA 750.83; MSA 28.278, and armed robbery, MCLA 750.529; MSA 28.797. Acting in propria persona, defendant filed a motion for a new trial based only on the alleged failure of the people to establish venue, which was denied by the trial court.
