This action began when the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the city of Minneapolis (HRA) sought to condemn certain property on the west bank of the Mississippi River. Ajax Auto Parts, Inc., (Ajax) was one of the landowners. Both parties appealed from the commissioners' award of $83,403. The jury returned a verdict of $107,683 for the land and $5,403 for fixtures. HRA now appeals to this court from the judgment and from the district court...
