McCOWN, Justice.

The defendant, Leroy Casados was convicted of child stealing and sentenced to 3 to 5 years imprisonment.

The "child," who was the State's chief witness, was a female not quite 18 years old at the time she ran away from home. She met the defendant several months before while she was working part-time as a waitress at a cafe in Minatare, Nebraska, her home.
