This was initially an action by the City of Chicago to foreclose a lien for the costs of demolishing a certain building in Chicago. One of the defendants in said action, Tobey Aron, filed a counterclaim which alleged that the action of the City in condemning and subsequently demolishing the building was a wrongful taking of her property...
