TODD, Justice.

Plaintiff Erik Matson, a minor, was bitten by a dog belonging to defendant, Rudolph Kivimaki. Erik and his father, plaintiff Robert Matson, brought this action for damages. The matter was submitted to the jury under instructions which included consideration of Minn.St. 347.22, the so-called "dog-bite statute," and, alternatively, determination of common-law liability of defendant.
