The defendant, Larry Julson, was charged with the unlawful sale of lysergic acid diethylamide (hereinafter LSD), an hallucinogenic drug, to Nancy Swenson and Robert Mackley on September 30, 1969. The place of trial was moved from Minot, Ward County, to Fargo, Cass County, upon the motion of the defendant for a change of venue. The defendant was found guilty by a jury. The defendant moved for a new trial, which motion was denied by the trial court....
