Plaintiff seeks to recover for injuries sustained when she tripped and fell in defendant's store at 221 South State Street, in Chicago. The case was tried by a jury and a verdict of $40,000 was returned. The trial court entered a judgment for defendant notwithstanding the verdict, and also entered an order granting a conditional new trial pursuant to Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 110,...
