The County of Los Angeles (County) in 1952 leased for the restricted use as a golf course 175 acres of land from the predecessor in interest of American Savings and Loan Association (American). The County instituted condemnation proceedings to acquire fee simple title to the land. At the date of valuation (January 1968) the County's lease on the land sought to be condemned had approximately eight and one-half years...
