Appeal from a conviction under section 211 of the Penal Code (robbery) and petition for writ of habeas corpus. On the basis of the petition this court granted an order to show cause why the writ should not issue. Respondent State of California filed a combined respondent's brief to the appeal and return to the order to show cause.
