After a bench trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant was found guilty of unlawful use of weapons and failure to carry a Firearm Owner's Identification Card, in violation of Ill. Rev. Stat. 1966, ch. 38, par. 24-1 and par. 83-2(a). Defendant, who was not represented by counsel at trial, was sentenced to six months in jail on each charge, the sentences...
