After a lengthy jury trial, the defendants were convicted on a single count indictment charging them with conspiring to make extortionate extensions of credit in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 892(a).1 Sentences ranging from three to 15 years' imprisonment were imposed by the district court and, in three instances, additional $10,000 fines were exacted.
