Defendant was convicted of obscenity under Section 11-20(a)(1) of the Criminal Code (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 38, sec. 11-20(a)(1)), and fined $1,000.

On June 29, 1971, the State filed a petition seeking a rule upon the defendant to show cause why the showing of the film, "Daughters of Anomaly," did not constitute probable cause for the offense of obscenity. An attached...
