After a jury trial, defendant, Hershal Jordan, was found guilty of unlawful sale of narcotic drugs. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1967, ch. 38, par. 22-3.) He was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of 12 to 18 years. Pursuant to his appeal to this court, a brief was filed in his behalf by the Public Defender of Cook County.
