This appeal is from a judgment of the Bullitt Circuit Court, entered after a jury trial, imposing the death penalty for the offense of wilful murder and a ten-year sentence for the offense of armed robbery.

On March 2, 1970, Paul Kidd, the victim, left Louisville via Preston Highway en route to Shepherdsville where he taught school. He was not heard from again until March 8, 1970, when his body was found in a barn near the Kentucky Turnpike...
