Wilbert Jackson was indicted on six counts of violating 18 U.S.C. § 495.1 Three counts charged him with falsely altering United States Treasury checks by increasing their stated amount. Three other counts charged him with uttering and publishing the altered checks, with knowledge that they had been altered and with intent to defraud the United States.
