This is a slip and fall case wherein Valmont Benoit and his wife, Mrs. Rose Benoit, sued J. Weingarten, Inc. for alleged injuries to Mrs. Benoit and special damages to Mr. Benoit caused by an accident which occurred in the defendant's store located on Ryan Street in the City of Lake Charles, Louisiana, on August 3, 1971.

This jury case resulted in a verdict for plaintiffs in the amount of $750.00 to the wife and $194.61 to the husband. Defendant...
