The defendant, Foster, was charged by Bill of Information with the crime of aggravated battery. (La.R.S. 14:34). He was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty. During the course of the trial on motion of the defendant, a mistrial was granted. Thereafter, the defendant withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty.
