This case arose out of a one-car crash about 1:30 a.m., September 16, 1967, into a traffic-light pole mounted on a circular concrete, traffic-light base (one foot six and three-quarters inches in height and five feet five inches in diameter) located approximately in the center of the intersection of Randall and First Avenues on Warren Air Force Base.
