This is an appeal from the Starke Circuit Court wherein a jury trial resulted in a verdict for the appellants in the amount of $16,250. for the appropriation of lands for public use. The issue presented for review is whether the trial court properly excluded as evidence, after an offer to prove, the construction cost of a proposed road over a strip of the residue property.
