This is a condemnation proceeding and jurisdiction is based upon 16 U.S.C. § 831x (Supp. 1969). The plaintiff sought to condemn a portion of the defendant's land. The plaintiff tendered into court the sum of $8,300.00 at the time of the taking of the property, contending that this amount represented just compensation. The landowner contended that just compensation was in an amount in excess of the sum tendered...
