This is an appeal from a conviction of murder in the first degree without a recommendation of mercy, and a resulting sentence of death. The facts of the matter are stated briefly.

On May 16, 1969, Clifford D. Seeney, who apparently was engaged to Mary Jane Thomas by whom he had had a child, arrived at a location where there were two house trailers, one of which was occupied by Mary Jane Thomas...
