Petitioner, proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis, seeks a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C.A. § 2241 et seq. (1971). Petitioner is attacking his 12 to 15 year term of confinement in the New Jersey State Prison at Rahway after a jury conviction in Union County Court on August 18, 1965 for robbery in violation of N.J.Stat.Ann. § 2A:141-1 (1969).
