Invoking the original jurisdiction of this Court, the petitioners, Robert Clancy and Lowell David Stern, filed herein separate petitions in habeas corpus, whereby they seek to have this Court declare void, in the circumstances hereinafter described, guilty pleas which each of them entered in the Circuit Court of Monongalia County. Inasmuch as these cases involve an identical issue they were consolidated for argument and will be considered together...
