ARMSTRONG, J.

Defendant, Olga Rita Gay was convicted of attempted murder in the first degree for hiring a man to kill her husband and assisting him by furnishing pictures for identification and advising him where her husband could be found. The man she hired was in fact a police detective, who had no intention of killing her husband. Pursuant to RCW 9.01.070(1), the attempt statute, she was sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 20 years.
