The parties were married in the District of Columbia in 1961 and moved to Maryland in 1962. In 1967, appellant left appellee and their only child and returned to the District of Columbia where he filed for divorce. Before his suit could be heard by the District of Columbia Court of General Sessions appellant had moved to Virginia where he presently resides.
